Gas Fireplace Repair, Tune-Up & Gas Logs in Garner, NC
Garner is 15–20 minutes from our Knightdale office down I-540 and US-70, and we route it with south Raleigh and Clayton so a technician is often already nearby when you call. Garner mixes 1960s–80s brick ranches around Timber Drive and Vandora Springs with the big 2000s–2020s subdivisions off White Oak Road, Ten-Ten Road and Lake Benson — which means masonry fireplaces with decades-old gas logs on one street and builder direct-vent units on the next. We service both under a North Carolina gas licence. For gas fireplace repair, annual tune-ups and gas log installation, call (919) 899-4220 or book online.

Brick Ranches to New Builds — All of Garner
Garner grew in two waves. The first, from the 1950s through the 1980s, built the brick ranches and split-levels around Timber Drive, Vandora Springs, Heather Hills, Meadowbrook and the old downtown along Garner Road and Main Street — homes with masonry fireplaces, many of which got vented gas logs in the 1990s on gas lines nobody has tested since. The second wave, from the late 1990s to today, built Eagle Ridge, Adams Point, Forest Landing, Cloverdale, White Oak Estates, Bryson Village and the communities around Lake Benson and Ten-Ten Road, with sealed direct-vent gas units — first millivolt, later IPI electronic ignition with a remote or wall switch.
The two need different technicians and different parts, and we bring both on the same visit. For the direct-vent units we carry Heat & Glo, Heatilator, Majestic, Monessen, Superior and Lennox parts on the van. For the masonry fireplaces we check the flue, the damper clamp and the gas line before touching the log set, and we install Real Fyre, Grand Canyon and Majestic vented and ventless sets. We also cover the acreage homes south toward Clayton and Willow Spring that run on propane.
If you smell gas, leave the home and call us from outside. Gas-smell calls go to the front of the line. For everything else, we quote a flat-rate price before touching the unit, and it does not change when the job is done. See our full fireplace services or book online.

Gas Fireplace Repair in Garner, NC
Garner repair calls we see most: newer direct-vent units in Eagle Ridge and Adams Point that click but do not light after summer, thermopiles that faded on the 2000s-era units around Lake Benson, remotes that lost pairing, and — in the older neighbourhoods — gas logs that will not stay lit on a corroded valve, or a gas smell from a fireplace nobody has used in years. All quoted flat-rate before we start.

What We See in Garner's Fireplaces
Garner neighbourhoods were built in two clear waves, and the fireplace problems follow the age of the house.
Eagle Ridge, Adams Point & Bryson Village
Garner's largest newer communities, built 2005–2022 around the golf course and Ten-Ten Road, with IPI electronic-ignition units, wall switches and remotes. The most common call is a failed module, flame sensor or remote receiver after a humid summer — usually a first-visit fix with parts from the van.
Lake Benson, White Oak Estates & Forest Landing
Late-1990s and 2000s homes off White Oak Road and Buffaloe Road with first-generation millivolt units now 20–25 years old. Thermopiles, pilot assemblies, control valves and glass gaskets are reaching end of life; we give a straight repair-or-replace opinion before spending your money.
Timber Drive, Vandora Springs & Heather Hills
1960s–1980s brick ranches and split-levels with masonry fireplaces, many with vented gas logs installed in the 1990s. We inspect the flue and damper clamp, leak-test the old gas line, and replace corroded log-set valves and pilots — or the whole set when the burner is done.
Cloverdale, Meadowbrook & Downtown Garner
Established homes around Main Street, Garner Road and the original town centre with a mix of masonry fireplaces and 1990s inserts. Frequent request: converting a wood-burner to gas logs and bringing an older install up to current North Carolina requirements.
Tryon Road & the South Raleigh Side (27603)
Homes along Tryon Road, Jones Sausage Road and Rock Quarry Road on the Raleigh–Garner line, built 1990s–2010s with mid-range Heat & Glo and Majestic units. Typical work: thermopile replacement, burner cleaning for a lazy yellow flame, and glass haze removal during a tune-up.
Clayton Line, Willow Spring & Acreage Homes
Rural and semi-rural homes south and west of town, many on propane rather than natural gas. We service propane fireplaces and log sets, check regulator pressure, and handle propane-to-natural-gas conversions when PSNC service reaches a road.
Gas Fireplace Tune-Up in Garner, NC
A Garner tune-up depends on the fireplace. Direct-vent units in Eagle Ridge, Adams Point and the Lake Benson subdivisions get the 12-point service — glass, gasket, burner, pilot or IPI system, venting and controls. Masonry fireplaces along Timber Drive and downtown get a flue, damper and gas-line inspection with the log set cleaned and repositioned. We book Garner tune-ups with south Raleigh and Clayton in September and October so a south Wake day fills with neighbours. The full 12-point checklist, cleaning details and safety inspection are on our gas fireplace tune-up and cleaning page.
Direct-Vent 12-Point Service
Glass and gasket, burner ports, pilot assembly or IPI system, thermocouple/thermopile readings, venting and termination cap, remote and wall switch.
Masonry Fireplace & Log-Set Service
Flue and damper-clamp check, log-set cleaning and repositioning, valve and pilot test, and a leak test on gas lines that may be 30+ years old.
Gas Pressure & Leak Check
Every connection tested — natural gas or propane, including the regulator on propane systems.
Venting & Termination Cap Inspection
Caps on Garner's two-storey homes collect pine straw and wasp nests over summer; masonry flues are checked for draft.
Remote, Wall Switch & Thermostat Check
Pairing, batteries and wiring at the valve — the number-one "it won't turn on" cause.
Flat-Rate Price, No Add-Ons
One price for the tune-up. Parts are quoted separately and only replaced with your approval.
Gas Log Sets in Garner, NC
Gas log work in Garner splits down the middle: vented sets going into the masonry fireplaces of the older brick ranches and downtown, and upgraded or remote-controlled sets replacing builder-grade logs in the direct-vent units of Eagle Ridge and Adams Point. We also install propane log sets for homes outside the natural-gas grid toward Clayton. Brands include Real Fyre, Grand Canyon and Majestic. The vented-versus-ventless decision, the set types and what installation includes are all explained on our gas logs page.
Vented Log Sets
The right choice for Garner's masonry fireplaces along Timber Drive, in Vandora Springs and downtown — realistic flame, damper clamped open, flue inspected before the first burn.
Ventless Log Sets
Where a flue has been closed off or a room needs real heat — sized to North Carolina's room-size and BTU limits.
Remote-Controlled & Thermostatic Sets
For homeowners who want the fireplace to do some of the heating.
Gas Line Connection by a Licensed Technician
Leak-tested connection, new shutoff valve where needed, under NC State License No 37063.
Burner & Log Placement, Safety Testing, Remote Setup
Logs set to the manufacturer's diagram and tested before we leave.
Town of Garner Permits
New gas lines and appliance installs inside the town limits are inspected by Garner Inspections; addresses outside the limits go through Wake County. We pull the permit and meet the inspector.
What Homeowners Say About GreenergyAir Fireplace Service
230+ five-star reviews from real Wake County homeowners. Here are four fireplace jobs.
""Booked an annual fireplace inspection. The tech found a small gas leak at the manifold connection that we never would have detected — tightened it up and re-tested. Also cleaned the burner and re-positioned the logs that someone had bumped. Genuinely thorough service. Will book every year going forward.""
""Our gas fireplace hadn't worked in three years — the pilot wouldn't stay lit. Two previous companies couldn't fix it. GreenergyAir's technician diagnosed a failed thermopile in 10 minutes, had the part on his truck, and we had a working fireplace again the same afternoon. First fall we've actually used it in years.""
""Our direct-vent fireplace was producing soot — black marks on the wall above. GreenergyAir's tech identified that the previous installer had set the logs wrong. He repositioned them, cleaned the soot, and explained what to look for. Problem solved without trying to upsell us a new fireplace. Honest people.""
""GreenergyAir converted our wood fireplace to gas logs. Beautiful work — new Real Fyre log set, gas line run cleanly, finished trim looks original. Took one day. The technician walked us through operation and safety, and Mark called the next day to follow up. Could not be happier.""
