Gas Fireplace Repair, Tune-Up & Gas Logs in Apex, NC
Apex is next door to our main office. Our technicians start the day at 15000 Weston Pkwy, Suite 131 in West Cary — about 10 to 15 minutes from most Apex homes via NC-55 or US-64 — so an Apex fireplace that will not light in the morning is very often an Apex fireplace that is fixed by the afternoon. We have serviced gas fireplaces in Apex for more than 25 years as Greenergy HVAC Fireplace & Appliance, under North Carolina State License No 37063, with a 4.9-star rating across 230+ Google reviews. For gas fireplace repair, annual tune-ups and gas log installation, call (919) 762-6267 or book online.

Apex's Local Gas Fireplace Company
15000 Weston Pkwy Suite 131, Cary NC 27513 — 10–15 minutes from Apex. 25+ years serving Apex homeowners. Licensed gas technicians, NC State License No 37063.
25+ Years Serving Apex, NC
Apex was built in two distinct waves and the fireplaces follow them. The established subdivisions off Salem Street and Apex Barbecue Road — Haddon Hall, Scotts Mill, Twin Lakes, Beaver Creek — went up in the late 1990s and early 2000s with direct-vent millivolt fireplaces that are now 20 to 25 years old. The newer growth toward Bella Casa, Sweetwater and Woodcreek on the western side has modern IPI electronic-ignition units that fail in different ways. We carry the parts for both.
Because Apex is inside our normal same-day radius, most Apex repairs are completed in a single visit: pilot and thermocouple faults, ignition modules, gas valves, cracked glass and dried-out gaskets, sooty log sets and remote receivers. If your Apex fireplace has not been serviced since it was installed, a pre-season tune-up is usually the better call than waiting for the first cold night.
If you smell gas, leave the home and call us from outside. Gas-smell calls go to the front of the line. For everything else, we quote a flat-rate price before touching the unit, and it does not change when the job is done. See our full fireplace services or book online.

Apex Was Built in Two Waves — and the Fireplaces Follow Them
Knowing which era a subdivision comes from tells us what to put on the van before we leave Weston Parkway. Here is where we work in Apex, and what we tend to find.
Haddon Hall, Scotts Mill and Twin Lakes
The late-1990s and early-2000s core of Apex. Direct-vent millivolt fireplaces original to the build, now 20–25 years old: thermocouples and thermopiles that no longer hold the valve, dried glass gaskets and dusty pilot assemblies are the routine calls.
Beaver Creek, Olive Chapel and Salem Village
Established neighbourhoods close to downtown Apex with a mix of direct-vent units and gas log sets added to masonry fireplaces. Vented log sets, damper clamps and log-set replacements are common here.
Shepherd's Vineyard, Brighton Forest and Friendship Station
Larger homes, often with a second fireplace in a bonus room or primary suite. A combined two-fireplace tune-up saves a second call-out.
Bella Casa and Sweetwater
The newer western side of Apex, built with IPI electronic-ignition systems. These fail differently — ignition modules, flame-sense rods and receiver boxes rather than thermocouples — and we know the models common to these builders.
Woodcreek and the Apex–Holly Springs line
New construction with sealed direct-vent glass, where the gasket inspection matters most and the first tune-up is often the first time anyone has opened the unit.
Downtown Apex
Older homes around Salem Street with masonry fireplaces, many converted to gas logs over the years. Match-light burners, older valves and log-set repositioning are the usual work.
Gas Fireplace Tune-Up in Apex, NC
Apex summers are hot and humid, and a fireplace that sits idle from April to October in that climate almost always needs the same three things before the first cold night: the pilot assembly cleared of spider webs, the burner ports cleared of dust, and the glass gasket checked after a summer of drying out. The full 12-point checklist, cleaning details and safety inspection are on our gas fireplace tune-up and cleaning page.
The Late-1990s Subdivisions
Haddon Hall, Scotts Mill and Twin Lakes have direct-vent units now 20–25 years old that benefit from a genuinely annual look at thermocouples, valves and vents.
The Newer West Side
Bella Casa, Sweetwater and Woodcreek have IPI ignition systems whose electronics and flame sensors need a different test procedure — it is on our 12-point checklist.
Gas Fireplace Cleaning in Apex
Milky glass, a grey film on the logs or a lazier flame than last year means a cleaning, not a repair. Glass both sides, burner ports, pilot assembly, log set and firebox — included in every tune-up, not billed separately.
September Is the Month to Book
October is when every fireplace owner in Apex calls at once; September appointments are the ones that get the day and time you want.
Emergency Gas Fireplace Service in Apex
A gas smell, a fireplace that shuts itself off or a carbon monoxide alarm is not a wait-until-Monday problem. 24/7 emergency response across Apex from Weston Parkway — leave the home first, then call (919) 762-6267 from outside.
Flat-Rate, Quoted Before We Start
We quote a flat-rate price before touching the unit, and it does not change when the job is done.
Gas Log Sets in Apex, NC
We supply and install gas log sets throughout Apex — vented sets for the masonry fireplaces in older downtown Apex homes and the established subdivisions, ventless sets where a flue has been closed off or a room needs real heat, and remote-controlled or thermostatic sets for homeowners who want the fireplace to do some of the heating. Brands include Real Fyre, Grand Canyon and Majestic. The vented-versus-ventless decision, the set types and what installation includes are all explained on our gas logs page.
Vented Log Sets
For the masonry fireplaces in downtown Apex and the older subdivisions off Salem Street.
Ventless Log Sets
Where a flue has been closed off or a room needs real heat — sized to North Carolina's room-size and BTU limits.
Remote-Controlled & Thermostatic Sets
For homeowners who want the fireplace to do some of the heating.
Gas Line Connection by a Licensed Technician
Leak-tested connection, new shutoff valve where needed, under NC State License No 37063.
Burner & Log Placement, Safety Testing, Remote Setup
Logs set to the manufacturer's diagram and tested before we leave.
Town of Apex Permits
We handle Town of Apex permit requirements for gas line work where they apply.
What Homeowners Say About GreenergyAir Fireplace Service
230+ five-star reviews from real Wake County homeowners. Here are four fireplace jobs.
""Our gas fireplace hadn't worked in three years — the pilot wouldn't stay lit. Two previous companies couldn't fix it. GreenergyAir's technician diagnosed a failed thermopile in 10 minutes, had the part on his truck, and we had a working fireplace again the same afternoon. First fall we've actually used it in years.""
""GreenergyAir converted our wood fireplace to gas logs. Beautiful work — new Real Fyre log set, gas line run cleanly, finished trim looks original. Took one day. The technician walked us through operation and safety, and Mark called the next day to follow up. Could not be happier.""
""Our direct-vent fireplace was producing soot — black marks on the wall above. GreenergyAir's tech identified that the previous installer had set the logs wrong. He repositioned them, cleaned the soot, and explained what to look for. Problem solved without trying to upsell us a new fireplace. Honest people.""
""Booked an annual fireplace inspection. The tech found a small gas leak at the manifold connection that we never would have detected — tightened it up and re-tested. Also cleaned the burner and re-positioned the logs that someone had bumped. Genuinely thorough service. Will book every year going forward.""
