A customer was grappling with multiple issues with their HVAC system. The bypass damper was malfunctioning, as it had been incorrectly tied shut, which could result in motor damage. The system was also short on refrigerant, causing the suction pressure to drop too low and the compressor to shut off on a low cutout when a small zone was operating independently. Additionally, the customer noted that certain zones downstairs, like the bedroom and bathroom, were not receiving adequate air supply, indicating a need for system balancing. The system also had a refrigerant leak that required fixing. This complex situation called for a comprehensive solution from an HVAC service provider capable of addressing all these issues effectively.
