The owner, Mark Haas came personally in just a few days. Do NOT listen to Dominion Energy if they tell you a licensed plumber could service your gas fireplace.
Mark quickly found what was causing the problem, explained and showed me what he found. But, he also found that the glass was not clipped into place which would allow carbon monoxide fumes into my home.
I would highly recommend him for any of the services they provide.
